Lab 0 and Welcome Barbeque
Lab 0 is an introductory lab for all new students to introduce students to CSE, and activate their accounts. Some introductory excercises help students familiarise themselves with the Linux environment.
Two Lab 0 sessions will be run, Tuesday the 22nd at 2PM, and Thursday the 24th at 6PM. Both are currently planned to run in the Mechanical Engineering Undercroft labs.
The CSESoc Welcome BBQ for all new students and old, is being run on Thrusday of Week 1, 31st July at 1PM.

Welcome to CSESoc 2008!
Welcome to CSESoc for 2008 and welcome to all our new computing students. We've got some new events planned this year and all your old favourites will be returning, so keep your eyes peeled.
During O-week we will be holding Lab Zero, which is a great opportunity to get used to the labs and software used at CSE. Lab Zero will be held at various convenient times throughout O-week. On Thursday of O-week, we'll be introducing ourselves at the CSE School Welcome in the K17 building. This year we have an exciting new points system, where you gain points by participating in CSESoc events, extra points for the winners! You'll have an opportunity to sign up at the School Welcome, where we'll also be giving away a free iPod shuffle to a random student who signs up. Also, don't miss the CSESoc welcome barbecue in week 1. Free food, courtesy of Macquarie Group.
